Population

Before the breakthrough year 1989, Kamenice nad Lipou had a population of 4993. During the years 1989 and 1990, a little increase to 5026 occurred, of which 2489 were men and 2537 women. However, the census of population, houses and flats in 1991 showed a considerable reduction of Kamenice population to 4290, 2116 men and 2174 women. This decrease is attributable to the separation of the former town districts Bohdalín, Včelnička, Rodinov and Lhota-Vlasenice in 1991.
At present, according to the population census of 2001, Kamenice nad Lipou with its districts Antonka, Gabriela, Nová Ves, Pravíkov and Vodná has 4235 inhabitants, of which 2131 are men and 2104 are women.
